Dermie
Founding Member / Head of Product & Media
With over 12 years in professional photography, Dermie’s rarely seen without a hoodie and a camera in hand. Over the years, he’s honed a natural creative eye for the entire process and shaped new standards in the industry. These days, he proudly claims the title of product engineer after discovering 3D printing and to be fair, he’s doing a pretty solid job of it.
Dermie’s journey into automotive lighting kicked off more than a decade ago during his time at STEDI, where he played a key role in designing the iconic Type-X Pro, one of the longest-standing driving lights in the industry. He was also behind the instantly recognisable Smiley Face cover and much of the content that shaped the brand across all platforms.
Outside of work, Dermie has a soft spot for “half-finished” DIY projects, the JDM scene, and anything that moves on two or four wheels. When he’s not firing up the Yamaha to drown out Geolian’s great filming ideas, he’s chasing peak performance as the resident tech head, usually behind a custom PC and loudly reminding everyone that PC beats Mac. Apparently.
Behind it all is a genuine heart of gold. Dermie will always step in to help wherever he can, no questions asked. Above all else, he’s a family man, one kid, five cars, and somehow still eyeing up a sixth.
Geolian
Founding Member / Head of Brand & Growth
Raised on the land with a farming background, Geolian brings that no-nonsense country attitude and a lifetime love for the outdoors, 31 years deep and counting. He’s all about camping, hitting the slopes, content creation, and getting off-grid in his beloved N80 Hilux (zero.lux).
With over a decade in design, he’s honed a sharp eye for detail, branding and visual storytelling. That creative foundation carried through into the lighting world, where he spent half a decade helping to build and define the STEDI brand, shaping everything from packaging and web design to the full marketing experience.
Between ambassador duties with Rhino-Rack, Maxtrax, Itechworld, and OnTap, he’s just as likely to be behind the lens as he is in front of it, turning everyday adventures into lifestyle content. Always looking left while everyone else looks right, his creativity is powered by double-shot espressos (with honey) and a steady rotation of 80s love rock ballads.
When he’s not caring for his plants or saving new Tik-Tok recipes, you’ll find him either behind a chainsaw or a stove, cooking up a proper feed for the crew. Equal parts practical and creative, Geolian’s the extrovert force behind the DEXON collective and in someways the sticky glue ensuring all parties are aligned and meeting his high standards.
Kevin
Founding Member / Head of Strategy
First and foremost, Kevin is the foodie of the collective. The kind with recommendations for hidden Asian eateries you’d only ever find tucked away in an international airport. His food obsession starts and ends with chicken rice and claim to fame is perfectly grilling the meanest, thickest, juiciest steak in town, whilst enjoying a glass of top shelf whiskey.
As self-appointed project manager, he’s always chasing smarter workflows, better processes and firmly backing Geolian “Team Apple” in the never-ending Apple vs Windows debate. Amen. His special skill sets include: Structuring, booking and organising overseas trips (days before) and being able to source who or whatever the team requires, from coffee machines to international suppliers and engineers.
Raised in a Ford performance environment, Kevin has been surrounded by horsepower, high standards, and no-nonsense engineering his whole life. An entrepreneur at heart, he started his first company at 22 and exited another at 30 after scaling it from the ground up. With over 10 years in the automotive industry and a background in aftermarket accessories, he thrives on applying his Mechatronics Engineering degree to turn big ideas into solutions that not only work, but sell.
Smart, sharp and just the right amount of bossy, Kevin’s the one asking the hard questions, spotting the details others miss and racking up more frequent flyer points than the average pilot.
Micheal
Brand Experience & Logistics Manager
Micheal’s the kind of bloke who’s always got a tool in hand, a job on the go, yet will always give you time of day, especially if it’s about weekend projects, or what’s cooking on the smoker. As a proud husband, dad, and all-round good bloke, he brings a calm, grounded energy to the DEXON collective, the kind that makes things happen without making a fuss.
Whether he’s helping refine a bracket design, sorting out a fitment issue, or chatting with customers about how to get the most from their setup, Micheal’s in his element when he’s hands-on. He lives and breathes the DIY spirit, not just at work but at home too, always tinkering, fixing, or improving whatever’s in front of him. It’s where his love of upcycling feeds his creativity, giving new life to old, used items.
Outside of work, you’ll find him out on his tinnie casting a fishing rod, perfecting his homemade jerky, or slow-cooking something magic on the BBQ. He’s got a soft spot for good meat, good laughs, and good mates and we reckon he’s one of the nicest blokes you’ll ever meet.
Always keen to learn, always ready to lend a hand, Micheal offers heart, skill, and a down-to-earth attitude that makes DEXON feel like more than just a brand but a home.
Sanju
Head of Performance & Digital
Think international correspondent with brains and elegance, the kind that would even give ChatGPT a run for its money. Sanju’s calm, humble approach is a front for a serious depth of knowledge in Mechanical Engineering, problem-solving, and a relentless drive to self-improve. He’s constantly learning, adapting and staying ahead of modern tech, all while making it look effortless.
While others are winding down with a few cold ones, Sanju’s usually optimising user experience, refining traffic flow, or figuring out how to turn clicks into conversions through smart marketing channels. It’s best described as engineering meets marketing, analytical, strategic, and always measured.
Somewhere between games of Badminton (aka Shuttlecock), Sanju fuels himself like most Aussies do, with a genuine love for good coffee, enjoyed early, often, and usually more than once a day.
When it comes to SEO, or paid ads that actually perform, Sanju is the go-to. And if he doesn’t have the answer on the spot, he won’t rest until he’s read, learned, tested, and figured it out making him the quiet problem-solver every team needs.
