Treading Lightly

We’ve been lucky growing up exploring the outdoors, camping under the stars and learning to respect the land from an early age. Now, with kids and families of our own, we want them to experience those same places the way we once have, wild, untouched, full of life and rubbish free.

That’s why sustainability matters to us. We’ve seen the damage carelessness can cause and we know a better future starts with how we choose to act today. From the gear we design to the way we travel, we’re committed to treading lighter, not just for us, but for the next generation of explorers to come.

Description Image

It’s not about being perfect. It’s about making better choices where we can. Reducing our impact without cutting corners and backing quality that holds up over time.

Because good gear should come with good intentions, and a lighter footprint for the tracks ahead.

From the start, we’ve committed to using recyclable, responsibly sourced materials wherever possible and designing products that last, not end up in landfill after one season. We’re constantly refining how we package, ship, and manufacture to reduce waste at every stage, without compromising on performance or quality.

Our approach is simple: build smarter, waste less and respect the environment we explore. Because for us, it’s not just about gear, it’s about looking after the tracks, rivers and remote places that fuel this lifestyle.

We’re not perfect, but we’re doing our best to ensure we are learning, staying up to date and thinking of better solutions that offer a cleaner future for us all.

  • Cardboard Packaging

All our external packaging uses durable, rated cardboard and paper to make sure your gear arrives safely. By choosing uncoated materials, we’re able to reduce waste while still delivering the level of quality we expect.

  • Paper Pulp Moulds

Instead of plastic inserts, we use moulded paper pulp packaging made from recycled fibres. It’s shaped to protect what matters, then breaks down responsibly once it’s done its job. Thoughtful protection, without the long-term impact.

  • Pima Cotton

Our Classic Tees are made from premium Pima cotton, softer, stronger, and longer-lasting than the standard option. Naturally pest-resistant and low-impact to grow, it helps cut waste and slow the farm-to-landfill cycle whilst feeling breathable and soft whilst wearing.

  • Bio Degradable Bags

Our merch mail bags are made from plant-based materials (PLA & PBAT), 100% biodegradable and break down in as little as 90 days in a home compost. Tough enough to protect your gear in transit, but gentle on the planet. Just how we like it.

Packaging with Purpose

Every piece of packaging is designed in-house from the first sketch to the final fit. We concept, draft, and test each packaging component to ensure it protects your gear, fits with precision and reflects the quality of what’s inside.

Sustainability drives every decision, we prioritise recyclable and biodegradable materials wherever possible and align closely with our manufacturing partners to ensure our printing and production methods support those values. Even our carton tape is paper-based, fibre-reinforced Kraft with a natural starch glue that activates with water. Tough enough for the journey, and fully recyclable once it gets there.

Packaging is a vital part of our brand and the customer experience. It’s the first touchpoint, the first impression and a reflection of how much care goes into what we do.
