For more than two decades, my family and I have been making our way to the same stretch of camping spots along Victoria’s border. It’s a place woven into our lives, holding countless shared memories, long laughs around the fire, quiet downtimes by the water, and everything in between. From Christmas getaways that roll straight into the New Year, to Australia Day escapes and long Easter breaks, the Murray River has always been our constant. Days are spent swimming, firing up the BBQ, and slowing life right down. Mornings begin with the unmistakable screech of native birdlife echoing through the trees, a sound that instantly tells you you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

Camping’s always felt natural to me, growing up on a farm taught me to appreciate the outdoors, the quiet moments, and living a bit rough around the edges. After spending 5 years in lighting, with a focus on design, I’ve come to love the challenge of creating setups that are both functional and easy on the eye.
